In Rajasthan, State Government has given reservation to Jats of Bharatpur and Dholpur districts under other backward classes category. <br/><br/>The notification issued by Social Justice and Empowerment Department stated that Jats of the two districts have been included in the list of OBC category immediately following a cabinet Decision. <br/><br/>The central government through a notification in 1999 included Jats in the OBC list and following the centre the state too included them in 2000. <br/><br/>The said notification was challenged in the Rajasthan High Court, which quashed the quota to Jats of Bharatput and Dholpur in 2015. After the decision, Jats in Rajasthan were enjoying the quota under the OBC category, except in the two districts.
