Rajasthan: Flood situation arises in Kota division due to continuous rainfall

<span style="color: #222222;">In Rajasthan, a flood situation has arisen in Kota division due to the continuous rainfall for the last three days. Low-lying areas in the entire division have been submerged. Road traffic has been blocked at many places and connectivity with many villages has been cut off. AIR correspondent reports that many other districts have also recorded heavy rains in the state. There is a flood situation in Kota, Jhalawar, Baran and Bundi districts. Due to heavy rains in Madhya Pradesh, huge amounts of water is being released from Rana Pratap Sagar, Jawahar Sagar and Kota barrage dam on Chambal river. People from low-lying areas in Kota have been sent to safer places.<br />''<br />''Apart from this, Chambal is flowing above the danger mark in Karauli, Sawai Madhopur and Dholpur districts, due to which an alert has been issued in the villages situated on the banks of the river. NDRF, SDRF and Civil Defense teams are engaged in relief and rescue work in Kota, Bundi, Baran and Jhalawar districts. Schools and educational institutions remained closed in these districts. </span><br />
