Noted film actor Amir Khan Wednesday met with the Chief Minister of Rajasthan Ashok Gehlot at Jaipur. Mr. Gehlot assured Amir Khan to create fast track court for fast disposal of cases of female foeticide, exposed in a sting operation six years ago. Mr. Gehlot said that he will talk to the Chief Justice of Rajasthan High court in this regard. The Chief Minister said that female foeticide is a social curse and his government will take all possible measures to check it. He said that a meeting of NGOs and social activists will also be organized to discuss this issue. Meanwhile, the state government has issued show cause notices to 23 private hospitals for sex determination test under PNDT act. These hospitals were found guilty in violation of this act.
