In Rajasthan, the Army, Border Security Force (BSF) and Railway doctors have begun assisting the senior doctors in the government hospitals in order to maintain health services.
In Jaipur, Army Doctors and in Barmer, Jaisalmer and Bikaner, BSF Doctors are providing assistance. The State Government has also released the list of private hospitals where people can get free medical services.
Meanwhile, 327 doctors have been arrested under the Rajasthan Essential Services Maintenance Act and 16 more Doctors have been suspended.
AIR Jaipur correspondent reports that with the Army, BSF, Railways and ESI Doctors providing assistance to district administration in ensuring smooth functioning in government hospitals, the situation is likely to improve today.
The private hospitals authorised by the Government have also started giving free OPD, Emergency and diagnostic services to the people. With newly appointed doctors joining their duties patients can hope for better services in the hospitals today.
Providing another relief the medical teachers have also suspended their mass leave agitation till Monday. Meanwhile, the repeated appeal by the Government to In-service and Resident Doctors to return to work has borne no fruit and their strike continues for the fourth day today in support of their demand of pay parity and time bound promotions.
