In an apparent bid to end its standoff with the BCCI, the Rajasthan Cricket Association has removed former IPL Commissioner Lalit Modi as its President. The resolution was passed in Jaipur Saturday after 23 of the 33 districts voted against Lalit Modi. Three of Modi's supporters have also been removed.Vice President Amin Pathan will take over as acting President.Reacting to his removal, Modi said the meeting was illegal because a 21-day mandatory notice period was not given. In turn, Modi suspended Vice President Pathan. Modi's lawyer said that he would hold a press conference today to clarify the matter.Lalit Modi had won a court supervised election in December last year when 29 of the 33 districts had voted in his favour.
