Rajasthan announces major work shift in administration

The Rajasthan Government today announced transfer of all district-level work of five major departments to Panchayat Raj Institutions (PRIs). Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot announced in Jaipur that work of Primary Education, Health, Women and Child Development, Agriculture and Social Justice and Empowerment have been transferred to Panchayats. He said that all vacant posts of these departments and PRIs would be filled soon and budget will be reserved for PRIs in the State. Gehlot announced that a Rural Livelihood Council will also be formed in the State.
