Election campaign ended for 20 seats of first phase polling in Rajasthan yesterday.

Candidates have started door to door contact with voters. Polling will take place tomorrow at 38,835 polling stations.

Prominent candidates contesting the election are Dr Girija Vyas, Chandresh Kumari and Sachin Pilot, Senior leader Jaswant Singh, Buta Singh and Subhash Maharia, Congress General Secretary Dr C P Joshi and Olympian Rajyawardhan Singh Rathor.

Our Correspondence reports that elaborate security arrangements have been made for free and fearless election and borders of neighboring states have been sealed.He adds that the Election Commission has made all security arrangements to ensure free and fair poling. 5942 polling stations have been identified as critical in the first phase of polling where at least one armed personel will be present during the polling.Election commission has decided to webcast live from 1625 polling stations .

Till noon all polling parties will reach their destination . In this phase Congress and BJP are contesting all 20 seats while BSP is contesting 18 and CPM 3 seats. 86 candidates of other parties and 88 independent candidates are also in the fray.
