Rajastan BJP leadership controversy continues

In Rajasthan, controversy over the issue of leadership in state BJP unit is continuing. State BJP President Arun Chaturvedi said that he has not received any resignation from MLAs and these activities are unfortunate for the party. On the other hand, Vasundhara Raje also appealed to supporters to stop tendering resignations. 2 MPs, and 61 MLAs have tendered their resignations in support of Mrs Raje in last two days. Our correspondent reports that Yesterday senior leaders of state BJP Lalit Kishore Chaturvedi,Ghanshyam Tiwari,Gulab Chand Kataria,Ramdas Agarwal and state BJP president Dr.Arun Chaturvedi held a meeting and strongly criticized the ongoing resignation game. Lalit Kishor Chaturvedi said that no leader is bigger than thae party and indiscipline should not be tolerated.Dr.Arun Chaturvedi also indicated disciplinary action against few MLAs who publicly criticized BJPs central leadership. He said that these activities will adversely affect party workers. On the other hand after receiving signals from Delhi that the central leadership of the BJP will not interfere in this matter, Mrs Raje appealed to supporters to stop tendering resignations and repeated that its BJP's internal matter and will be resolved within the party.Raje’s close associate Bhawani Singh Rajawat was also in defensive mood last night.He said that senior party leaders should come forward to resolve this issue.
