A U.S. grand jury yesterday indicted Galleon hedge fund founder, Sri Lankan born Raj Rajaratnam and co-defendant Danielle Chiesi on charges of securities fraud and conspiracy in an insider trading case. The indictment in Manhattan federal court came two months after they were charged along with others in October 2009 on 17 counts of conspiracy to commit securities fraud and securities fraud. Rajaratnam and Chiesi, are the only indictments so far in the case, which includes 20 other people facing criminal and civil charges. Billionaire Rajaratnam, a U.S. citizen had earlier secured one million USD bail. He was charged by the US authorities in the biggest hedge fund insider trading case ever. Rajaratnam's lawyer however, has said that he would fight the charges.<br/><br/>
