With just a day to go for what is undoubtedly one of the most intensely fought Sri Lankan Presidential election, the opposition backing the candidature of the commander turned politician Sarath Fonseka portrayed an alarming scenario of the incumbent President, Mahinda Rajapaksa preparing the stage for a coup to prevent peaceful transition of power.<br/><br/>However, the Government was quick to denounce the claim as a sure sign that the opposition has lost the game even before it has been played and is preparing the ground to justify the certain defeat of Fonseka. <br/>
