In Andhra Pradesh, the state Higher Education Minister Damodar Rajanarasimha has been appointed Deputy Chief Minister of the state. Rajanarsimha represents Andole Assembly Constituency in Medak district ever since he entered into active politics in 1989. He is also holding the charge of Agriculture as an additional Portfolio at present. The 53-year old Congress leader from Telangana region has held important portfolios in the last three cabinets in the state.
