The 19th Raising Day of Army Air Defence (AAD) is being observed today.

On the occasion, the President, Defence Minister and Army Chief have extended their greetings to the nation.

In her message, the Supreme Commander of the Forces President Pratibha Devisingh Patil expressed hope that all ranks of the Army Air Defence will continue to uphold their lofty standards for all time to come.

The Defence Minister Mr. A.K Antony said, that the corps has evolved over the years and grown from strength to strength. He expressed hope that the personnel of the corps will take it to even higher levels of excellence.

In his message the Army Chief General V.K Singh said Corps of Army Air Defence have played a pivotal role upholding the security and the integrity of the nation besides protecting vital national assets.
