Raisina Dialogue begins in New Delhi

Norway Prime Minister Erna Solberg has pitched for promoting Ocean economy and said that resources in the ocean should be used properly. <br />''<br />''She said, Ocean is a common good that interlinks countries.<br />''<br />''Ms. Solberg said, the principle of might is right cannot be used for ocean governance. <br />''<br />''Delivering her inaugural address at Raisina Dialogue in New Delhi on Tuesday evening in presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Ms. Solberg said, rapid climate changes in the Arctic area will have a far-reaching global impact and the world has a responsibility to protect the ocean. <br />''<br />''Calling for promoting blue economy, Ms. Solberg said, ocean-based industries help provide jobs.  She also said there is a need to improve the health of the oceans. <br />''<br />''She said, many people feel left out by globalisation – especially in the European political life. She said, there is a need to ensure that the citizens feel the positive effects of globalisation. <br />''<br />''Ms. Solberg said, today the world cannot afford to let protectionism, rivalry take a dominant role.<br />''<br />''She also pitched for global order for international trade and said, international trade is for prosperity and to benefit citizens at large while ensuring growth. <br />''<br />''Prime Minister Solberg said, not meeting the Sustainable Development Goals by 2030 will impact us all. <br />''<br />''<span id="MSIEparagraph"></span>
