Rains to keep north & south temperature cool: Met Dept

The Met department has predicted thundershowers at many places over the Hilly regions of northern India and the southern Parts of the country. Rain may also occur at one or two places in the plains in northern Indian, including Punjab, Haryana and Delhi. Weather is expected to remain mainly dry in rest of the country.

Maximum temperatures rose by 2 to 5 degree celcius over some parts of northern India and south Indian states of Tamil Nadu and Karnataka on Friday. However, it fell by 2 to 3 degre celcius over parts of centeral India and Hilly regions.

Many regions of Tamil Nadu and Lakshadweep had heavy rainfall on FRiday. Moderate downpour also took place at a few places over Jammu & Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh and at one or two places over south interior Karnataka, Kerala, Rayalseema, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh,Tripura, Jharkhand, Sikkim and Uttrakhand.
