In Uttar Pradesh, widespread heavy rain has disrupted normal life. AIR Gorakhpur correspondent reports that rail and road traffic has been disrupted at many places while electricity and telecommunication services have also been disrupted. In Uttarakhand also, incessant rain has hit different parts of the state. AIR correspondent says heavy rain since Thursday night was still continuing in some parts of the state. Road transport has been badly affected due to rain. Five persons were killed in a house collapse in the Roorkie sub-division of Haridwar district. In Dehradun rain has broken the record of last 39 years.
