Telangana Government has said at least 50 persons died due to the devastating spell of rains and floods that hit Hyderabad and other parts of the state for the past three days. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao held a high-level review meeting in Hyderabad last evening. <br />''<br />''Later, a statement said the officials informed him at the meeting that 50 persons died including those 11 in Hyderabad. Accordingly, standing crops in 7.35 lakh acres got damaged. National Highways were damaged at 6 locations and BT roads washed away at over 400 places. Heavy Rains hit over 30 towns in the state and 238 residential colonies were flooded. Electricity transformers were damaged severely. Over 100 irrigation tanks were breached.<br />'' <br />''In Hyderabad, due to flash floods after record level of over 30 cms of rainfall on a single day, 35 thousand families residing in over 20 thousand houses in 144 residential colonies were affected. Especially, the colonies which were constructed within the tanks and those constructed in the limits of Full Tank Level were inundated. Over 1 lakh 10 thousand people were supplied food and 72 relief camps were set up.<br />'' <br />''<span style="color: #222222;">Meanwhile, the State Government preliminarily estimated a lose of 5000 crore rupees. The government announced a compensation of 5 lakh rupees to the family of each deceased. The Government also assured building a new house for those who lost their house and financial assistance to those whose houses are partially damaged. The Chief Minister directed the officials to take up relief and rehabilitation works on war footing.</span><br />
