Rains continue to lash several parts of the national capital and its neighbouring areas. The city recorded 22 mm of rainfall till 8.30 this morning. The Met department predicts the sky to remain generally cloudy with few spells of heavy rainfall in some areas. Delhi has received a total of 974.2 mm of rainfall this season which is 58 percent above normal. Heavy rains have also led to an upsurge in the number of dengue cases in the city. According to MCD 75 new cases of dengue were reported yesterday. With this the total number of confirmed cases of dengue has risen to two thousand three hundred and seventy one.
