Rains brings down mercury in Delhi

In Delhi, light rain brought the mercury down by several degrees below normal on Wednesday forcing the people to wrap themselves in more woolens to get rid of the chilling cold. It started as drizzle in the morning and turned out as pouring rain by afternoon measuring 1.6 millimeter.The maximum temperature was recorded at 21.3 deg C, six notches below normal, while the minimum was at 15.7 deg C, six degrees above normal. The Weatherman has predicted possibility of light rains and thunder showers on Thursday also.
