Rains brought the temperature down by several notches in north India. Parts of Uttar Pradesh received moderate to heavy rainfall with the water level rising in the major rivers of the state. In Delhi, high humidity, which shot up to 98 per cent, caused discomfort to the residents even as cloudy conditions prevailed after overnight rains. <br/><br/>A person was killed in Maharashtra's Thane district when a wall collapsed due to torrential downpour. The weatherman said Goa is expected to witness incessant rains till July 1 as the southwest monsoon is "very active" over the state. Heavy monsoon showers are likely to hit south coastal Odisha due to a low pressure area over the west-central part of the state.<br/><br/>The Met Department said Conditions are favourable for further advance of southwest monsoon in Gujarat, Chandigarh, Delhi and East Rajasthan during next 3-'4 days. It said, condition will be favourable in these coming days in remaining parts of Uttar Pradesh, Uttrakhand, Himachal Pradesh and West Madhya Pradesh. The Monsoon may also reach in Most parts of Punjab & Haryana and some parts of West Rajasthan during next 3-4 days.
