Rains bring down temperature in Delhi

Delhiites woke up to a pleasant Monday morning as the capital received light rains which brought down the temperature. As per the Met office, the rain gauges measured 2.1 milimetre till 8:30 am this morning. The minimum temperature was recorded at 28.2 degree celsius, normal for this time of the year and down from Sunday’s 32.7 degree celsius. On Sunday, the minimum was five degrees above normal. The maximum on Sunday settled at 43.6 degree celsius, four notches above normal. The minimum and maximum humidity oscillated between 20 and 74 per cent.The Met office says that it will come up with a monsoon forecast by the 22nd of this month. According to the Met department, the city will have a partly cloudy sky during the day on Monday and light rain combined with thunder storms are likely to occur towards Monday evening. The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to hover around 42 and 30 degree celsius.
