In Karnataka, major rivers Krishna, Kaveri and Thungabhadra which were in spate are receding since Sunday afternoon. The flood situation in the state is showing slight improvement.However due to incessant rain in South Western Maharashtra and northern Kerala, there is steady inflow of water into rivers. According to the Disaster Management Authority report, rains have caused damage to 47 houses in the state.Due to flooding, water has still not receded from sixteen bridges in Belgaum district thereby cutting off road link between different villages. Water logging is also reported over 400 hectares of land in the district.
