Thunderstorm and heavy rain lashed many places in North India and caused temperature to dip in the region. The unseasonal rain also disrupted normal life, uprooting trees and snapping power lines. The thunder storm claimed 38 lives in Uttar Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir.<br/>Heavy rain brought down temperature from 45 degree Celsius to 37 degree in Jammu. Mercury also dipped in Himachal Pradesh, where tribal areas had fresh snowfall and the mid and lower hills have been lashed by the rain. <br/>
