Rain stops play with NZ four down

New Zealand were 85 for Four in their first innings against India when rains stopped play in the second Cricket Test at Kolkata. Md. Shami and Bhuwaneshwar Kumar inflicted early blows to the visitors. They were 23 for 3 in 7th over. But stand-in skipper Ross Taylor and Luke Ronchi's 62 runs partnership for the fourth wicket saved them from further down slide. A rather aggressive Ronchi was the last man out for 35 off Ravinder Jadeja. Earlier India were all out for a respective total of 316 in the first innings after resuming the second day's play at the overnight score of 239 for seven. Wriddhiman Saha remained not out on 54.
