It is past the scheduled toss time in the third and final Twenty 20 International match between India and New Zealand at Thiruvananthapuram, as rain has delayed the start of play scheduled at 7 PM because of persistent and consistent drizzle. The ground staff has been working constantly to get rid of the water on the covers. With series levelled at 1-1, India and New Zealand will aim to outplay each other in the decider today to seal the series. To clinch the series, India have to display a better show in both batting and bowling departments while New Zealand would like to continue with the same momentum. India comprehensively beat the visitors in the first match at the Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium in Delhi. In the second match, New Zealand bounced back in style and defeated India by 40 runs. In the preceding ODI series, India beat the Kiwis 2-1. While New Zealand conclude their current India tour with today's match, Sri Lanka will start their India tour with three-match series each in Test, ODI and Twenty20 formats. The Islanders will begin their tour with a Test match from 16th of this month at the Eden Gardens, Kolkata.
