Rain lashed most parts of Punjab and Haryana on Saturday with the minimum temperature remaining close to normal. Patiala was the wettest place in the region receiving 11.6 mm of rain, while Rohtak, Gurgaon and Karnal in Haryana received rainfall of about 10 mm. Chandigarh and Mohali had a moderate rainfall while Bhiwani, Amritsar, Ludhiana and Ambala witnessed mild showers.The MeT department in Chandigarh said a western disturbance over Jammu and Kashmir and other neighbourhood areas has caused the rain.
