Rain and thunder showers in many parts of state since last night has changed weather completely across the Uttar Pradesh today.The cloudy sky and in-between rains in most of the places throughout the day today compelled people to wear more woolen clothes though New Year festivities are on despite chilling wind.According to Met department most of the places in Uttar Pradesh have received light to moderate rain while in some pockets hailstorm also occurred.According to met reports some places specially in Lucknow and Faizabad divisions having continuous rain since last sixteen hours. Some areas in Manipuri also received hailstorm.The state weather forecast says that rain and thunder showers would occur at many places of Eastern U.P and at few places of western U.P. According to met expert hail storm and squall may also occurred in some isolated places in next twenty four hours.According to met department chief amount of rainfall recorded in:- Fatehgarh, Hamirpur, where 3o millimetre rainfall have recorded, while Agra and Aligarh recorded 20 millimetre and 10 millimetre rain fall recorded in Barabanki, Bareilly, Kanpur,Etawah,Fursatganj, Shahjahanpur, Moradabad, and Jhansi districtsLowest minimum temperature state 4.1 deg Celsius recorded at Etawa district last night.According to met reports despite rain the day the last night temperature rose in Agra ,Kanpur, divisions Varanasi, Faizabad, Lucknow, Bareilly, Moradabad, Jhansi, and division.
