Light to medium rainfall has occurred in various eastern districts today. AIR correspondent reports that intermittent rain occurred in Gorakhpur, Basti, Mahrajganj, Siddharthnagar and adjoining places. The weather remained cloudy throughout the day in these districts. The monsoon has further advanced in eastern Uttar Pradesh and it has touched Allahabad and Baharaich region today. Meanwhile light and moderate rain fall have also reported in many areas of east UP today. The Director of Met department J P Gupta told AIR this evening since conditions are favourable the Monsoon will cover most part of Uttar Pradesh in next two to three days. According to Met department Jhansi recorded maximum 56.4 mm rain fall in last twenty four hours while several east UP districts like Gorakhpur,Varanasi,Kanpur,Raibareily, Lucknow have also recorded light rainfall today. Hamirpur in Budelkahnad region has recorded 17 mm rain and Nazimabad recorded 24 mm rain today .The day maximum temperature has also around 35 degree Celsius most of the places in the state today . Met department predicts that rain and thunder shower may occurred in many places in east UP and some places in west UP in next twenty four hours.
