In Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh rainfall has occurred at few places registering maximum of 2 cm rainfall at Batala and Malikpur and 1cm at Shahpurkandi and Madhopur in Punjab. The maximum temperature registered a fall in Punjab but in Haryana it changed a little. The night temperature has rose in Punjab as well as Haryana and is largely above normal in both states. Today the lowest minimum temperature in the plains was 11.5 degree celsius recorded at Narnaul in Haryana .The highest maximum temperature in the plains was 26.7 degree Celsius in Hisar.According to Met Department during next 24 hours spells of rain or thundershowers are expected in Chandigarh and light to moderate rain may occur at isolated places in Punjab and Haryana. Weather experts also predicted hailstorms or thunder squalls with wind speed exceeding 45 kmph at isolated places in both states.
