Rain lashed Mumbai and parts of its suburbs today disrupting rail traffic. According to the weather bureau, Colaba recorded 25.6 mm rainfall and Santacruz recorded 17 mm downpour from 8.30 am to 11.30 am today. Meanwhile, the department has said that occasional rain or shower would occur in parts of city and suburbs in the next 24 hours. According to a Central Railway spokesperson, trains on the central route were running late by 30 to 35 minutes because of signal problems at various locations. Train services on western and harbour route were also running with a delay. Rail services have also been hit due to one-day trackmen strike causing inconvenience to commuters. According to airport officials, most flights are running normal at the Mumbai international airport and there are no disruptions reported so far.
