Normal life in Puducherry was disrupted for the second consecutive day as the rain lashes the city for the past 48 hours. There has been heavy downpour throughout last night inundating the low lying areas like Rainbow Nagar, Venkata Nagar and Indira Gandhi Square. Authorities are working hard to drain the flooded areas.<br />'' <br />''Not only Puducherry, adjoining districts of Tamil Nadu, Cuddalore and Viluppuram also has been receiving heavy rains. The lakes in these districts are nearing its full capacity. Rains have inundated various crops like Paddy and groundnuts.<br />'' <br />''Weatherman says that the rain is due to the onset of the North East Monsoon and due to the influence of the Burevi Cyclone.<br />'' <br />''<span style="color: #222222;">Chief Minister Mr. V.
