In Tamil Nadu, Chennai and its suburbs have been lashed by intermittent rainfall since last evening affecting normal life. With the Met Office forecasting continuous rain, schools and colleges in the city were closed today. Similarly, the District Administration in the neighbouring Tiruvallur district also declared a holiday for schools.
