The start of the Champions Trophy final between India and England at Edgbaston, Birmingham has been delayed due to rain. Earlier, England skipper Alastair Cook won the toss and opted to field. No reserve day had been scheduled for the game. As such, the failure to bowl the minimum 20 overs per side for a result to be declared would see the trophy shared, as happened in Colombo in 2002 when India and Srilanka were joint winners.
