Rain delay start of 3rd T-20 International between India, South Africa

The start of the third and final T-20 International at the iconic Eden Gardens in Kolkata which was scheduled to be played from 7 p.m. has been delayed by more than 2 and half hours due to wet ground conditions caused by rain earlier. Umpires carried out two officials inspections, one at 7.30 p.m. and the second at 8.30 p.m. It now has been decided to carry out another inspection at 9.30 p.m. If the game finally starts, it may be a dead rubber, but for India it would be an opportunity to salvage the lost pride. The visitors have already taken an unassailable 2-0 lead in the 3 match series. The visitors are also slated to play 5 match ODI series that begins with the opener in Kanpur on Sunday and four Tests thereafter.
