In Uttar Pradesh, the torrential rain is continuously lashing several parts. This and periodic release of water from different barrages has triggered further rise in the water level of Yamuna, Ganga, Ramganga and Ghaghra. The flood has affected about fifteen districts in west UP alone. AIR Gorakhpur correspondent reports that the river Ghaghra has once again started rising in Faizabad, Barabanki, Basti and other places. The rescue and relief work is already going on in severely affected places.
