In Uttarakhand, 20 persons were killed and several others injured in cloudburst and heavy rain during the past 24 hours. Continues rain have hampered the rescue work in Almora where 15 persons are reported missing. About 50 houses have been damaged following the heavy rain. Meanwhile, higher reaches of Himalaya in the state have experienced snowfall. Met Department has predicted more rain in next 24 hours. In Uttar Pradesh, the high alert has been sounded in seven districts of western and central region as the flood situation has worsened due to heavy rain.
