The continuing rains have caused extensive damage in Almora, Nainital and Pauri district of Uttarakhand. About fifteen people are feared to kill in rain related incident today.Rescue operation led by the Army and ITBP are being taken up on war footing in Kumaon Division, where about dozen of people are believed to be trapped under the debris due to cloud burst.Meanwhile, snowfall also reported at higher reaches of Himalaya in Chamoli, Rudraprayag and Uttarkashi. Met department predicts that heavy rain may occur at several places in coming 24 hours.
