<br/>In Uttar Pradesh, the people have felt relief from intense heat as the rain has lashed a major part of eastern region. Varanasi recorded sudden drop of 6.7 degrees Celsius while in other districts, the temperature has gone down by 4 to 5 degrees. <br/> <br/>The cyclonic wind uprooted trees and electric poles in Gorakhpur and Basti divisions, disrupting road traffic and electric supply. <br/> <br/>About a dozen mud houses have been damaged due to rain and wind. According to met office, the monsoon is expected to be active during next two-three days.<br/>
