After days of intense heat, rain brings respite to the people of the national capital region. Rain lashed at night as the day witnessed cloudy and sunny patches with light rainfall in some parts of the capital.<br/><br/>The weather department has forecast rain, duststorm and thunderstorm in Delhi and NCR today due to an active western disturbance across northwest India. However most parts of the country witnessed heatwave conditions yesterday despite snowfall in hilly regions of Jammu and Kashmir and scattered rainfall in some areas of northern India, including Delhi.<br/><br/>The country's highest temperature 43.2 degrees Celsius was recorded in Madhya Pradesh's Khajuraho followed by Wardha in Maharashtra at 43, and Daltonganj in Jharkhand at 42.9.<br/><br/>
