South west monsoon is active but little weakened on Tuesday in Uttar Pradesh. Fairly widespread rain was recorded across the state in last forty hours .Meanwhile several rivers are raising and some of the rivers are flowing above the danger mark. According to Central Water Commission the Sharda River is flowing above the danger mark in Paliankalan in khiri district but the river is receding now. While Ghaghara river is also flowing above the danger mark at Elgin bridge in Barabanki and in Ayodhya, But Ghaghara is also constant at the both the places on Tuesday. Ganga is rising In Allahabad, Varanasi, and Mirzapur and Ballia but still below the warning level. Meanwhile the Uttar Pradesh government has asked the district administrations of Sitapur, Gonda, Lakhimpur Kheri and Balrampur, to keep a continuous vigil on the vulnerable embankments. The Met department says that fairly widespread rainfall has recorded in last twenty our hours in the state though most of the places light rain fall was recorded in last twelve hours . Allahabad, Sultanpur and Unnao, Moradabad and Hapur recorded about 20 mm rain while salempur in Gorakhpur division recorded 337 mm rain fall since last evening. The Konkan Railway route, which was closed owing to incessant, rains, landslides and a security wall collapse, is expected to be restored by day after tomorrow evening. Senior Public Relations Manager of Konkan Railway Corporation Limited, Baban Ghatge, said, that even though 170 labourers have been deployed for the restoration work, torrential rains have created hurdles in approaching the affected site. He added that despite the rains, best efforts are being put into the restoration work by Konkan Railway. Railway tracks between Ratnagiri and Nivsar were affected due to two landslides on July 17 and 18th , due to incessant and torrential rains in Konkan region and the rivers in the region are said to be flowing very close to the danger mark. In Arunachal Pradesh, normal life was affected due to heavy and continuous rain in most of part of the state. Two lives including a minor have been lost in a landslide incident in capital Itanagar on Monday. Number of houses was reportedly damaged. Road blockage has been occurred in several places on National Highway 52-A from Banderdewa to Holongi.
