Rain affects life in Arunachal Pradesh

In Arunachal Pradesh, incessant rain over the last few days have thrown life out of gear in several parts of the state, particularly East Siang and Lohit districts. In Lohit district, continuous rainfall since last four-five days badly affected the normal life. Road communication between Tezu and Tinsukia via Parsuram Kund and Alubari Ghat remained totally cut off since Tuesday due to rain-triggered landslides. Overflowing water of Sibiri River has inundated many houses at Alubari area. Flash floods triggered by rains submerged large tracts of paddy fields, besides causing erosion and landslides in many areas of Nari, Ruksin, Pasighat and adjacent areas of East Siang district.
