The Union Railway Ministry has agreed to set up a working group in connection with the construction of railway industrial corridor in Chhattisgarh. This was decided at a high level meeting held in Raipur on Wednesday between the Union Railway Minister Dinesh Trivedi and the Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh, Dr. Raman Singh. The meeting was also attended by the members of the state Cabinet, Members of Parliament of the state, MLAs, and top level railway officials including the Chairman of the Railway Board. Recognising the importance of Chhattisgarh in terms of mineral production, the Railway Minister said, in a press conference that his Ministry will do the needful in contributing to the economic development of the state.
