Union Minister of State for Railways Manoj Sinha said, Railways will expand network in Punjab. He said, talks were in progress with Punjab Government to acquire land to expand railway network in the State. He was speaking at a golden jubilee function of Bhartiya Railway Mazdoor Sangh at Diesel Loco Modernization Works at Patiala yesterday. <br/><br/>The Minister said, there were no plan to privatise the work in the department. Bhartiya Railway Mazdoor Sangh demanded filing of twenty thousand vacant posts in the railways and also submitted memorandum demanding workers security to the Minister. The Union also demanded installation of devices to track trains to avoid accidents.
