The Railways has decided to eliminate unmanned level crossings by constructing road underbridge subways. Diversion roads will also be constructed for merging unmanned level crossings to nearby manned or unmanned level crossings. Railway Minister Mukul Roy said this in the Lok Sabha today. He told members that the Railways has also decided to man those unmanned level crossings which cannot be eliminated by any other means.
