Railway Minister Dinesh Trivedi said that special lady Railway Protection Force, RPF, will be deployed in all the evening trains in the country. He also said that safety of passengers, especially women passengers, is the upper most priority of the Railways. Mr Trivedi said that we need to modernise Railways to take it to the next generation. He was speaking at the foundation stone laying function for Rail coach factory at Palgat in Kerala. The factory to be built at a cost of 550 crore rupees, is expected to be completed in three years. The project will give direct employment to 1000 persons.
