Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu said Railways are taking a series of steps to boost small and medium enterprises in the country to make the government's ambitious Make in India programme a success. <br/><br/>Addressing MSME summit in New Delhi today, Mr Prabhu said there is a need for working on many fronts to make the Prime Minister's Make in India programme successful and for this boosting of small and medium industries is required. <br/><br/>He said, Railways have undertaken many changes in the Research Designs and Standards Organisation (RDSO), so that innovative ideas reach their logical conclusion.<br/><br/>Mr Prabhu said that railways have also started a vendor development programme to benefit small and medium enterprises to increase employment. He said Railways is also launching an interactive portal to help small and medium industries.
