<span style="color: #222222;">Indian Railways had resumed construction work on Jiribam-Imphal Railways line after Manipur State government decided to relax lockdown restriction. Also all the Girder of a first ever 100 m tall Pier Bridge has been completed on this railways line which created record in the history of 167 years of Indian Railways.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The construction works on Jiribam-Imphal Railways line was resumed from April 21, onward after Manipur State government announced relaxation on construction of Railways project during the lockdown. The 110 km long Railways project was taken up in 2008 to expand the railways network in North East region and it will provide railway connectivity to the capital city of Manipur State which is a gateway to South East Asia nations. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">He said, the bridge is within the railways block section of Vangai Chungpao Station to Kaimai Railway Station, where the track laying work has already been completed.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Workers already station at works site are working on the construction under the latest guidelines and SOPs issued by MHA and completed work on bridge without any mishap or accident with best of engineering accuracy, he said.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The rail line includes 49 tunnels which total length is 65 km and also have three bridges which high is above 100 meters. The bridges no. 164 is 141 meter tall and highest Pier bridge in the World.  So far 48 tunnels have been completed including a tunnel which is 10.25 km long.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The project is targeted to be completed by March, 2022 and so far 80% of project have been completed. Three IITs of the country are associated with the project for technical support and proof checking of design to make the bridge sustainable as well as cost efficient.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />''
