Railways recorded more than 10 per cent increase in Freight loading in the last month compared to the pre-COVID April month of 2019. On a mission mode, Indian Railways' Freight loading for the month of April this year was over 111 million tonnes which included over 51 million tonnes of Coal, nearly 14 million tonnes of Iron Ore and over 3 million tonnes of foodgrains among others. The Indian Railways earned over 11 thousand 163 crore rupees from freight loading last month.
