Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu said, Railways is considering East Coastal Rail line connecting Chennai with Mahabhalipuram, Puducherry, Cuddalore, Nagai, Rameswaram, Thoothukudi and Kannyakumari. <br/><br/>He was speaking at Tiruchirapalli yesterday, while dedicating to nation various projects in the Trichy Railway Division. He will also dedicate to the nation an emergency medical centre at Kumbakonam today. <br/><br/>The Minister through video conferencing will also open waiting hall at Thanjavur Railway station and lift facility for passengers in Madurai railway junction. Union Minister of state for Road Transport Highways and Shipping Pon Radhakrishnan, state Agriculture minister Doraikannau, will also be present on the occasion.
