Railways introduces 26 new trains

The Railways have announced the introduction of 26 new trains. The services of five existing trains will be extended. The frequency of two existing trains would be increased and five new sub-urban trains are to be introduced. Three Duronto Expresses, One Shatabdi, One fully AC Express, three Rajyarani Express, Nine Mail and Express services are among the new trains to be introduced. An official release said most of the new services announced were part of the Railway Budget 2011-12. With this announcement, 115 out of 132 new trains proposed for introduction during Railway Budget 2011-12 will be introduced. It said, 19 out of 22 increase in frequency of trains proposed in Railway Budget 2011-12 will be effected and all the extension of trains proposed in Railway Budget 2011-12 will be implemented.
