Railways cancels trains due to fog

Railways has cancelled a few trains due to dense fog in some parts of the country.

Fog continues to hamper train movement causing delay and rescheduling of services. Some prominent trains which have been cancelled today include -North East Express between Guwahati and Anand Vihar terminus, Mahesana- Ahmadabad Intercity express, Raigarh Hazarat Nizamuddin Gondwana Express and Magadh Express from Islampur to Patna Junction. Some trains, including the Rajdhani from eastern states, arrived in New Delhi several hours behind schedule.

Passengers are also advised to confirm the details about the trains on the railway website www.indianrailways.nic.in

Last week, the Railways decided not to run 28 train services from December 1, nearly three weeks ahead of schedule, owing to early onset of fog this winter, for safety of passengers.
